Terms of website use

These terms (together with the documents referred to) tell you the terms of use on which you may make use of our website “The Global Register of Publishers” (www.grp.isbn-international.org) (our site), whether as a guest or a registered user. Please read these terms of use carefully before you start to use the site. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please refrain from using our site.

1. Information about us

Our site is operated by International ISBN Agency Limited (We). We are a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales under company number 05332288 and have our registered office at 48/49 Russell Square, London, WC1B 4JP, UK. Our VAT number is GB872 5809 91.

2. Information and purpose of our site

The International ISBN Agency has developed the Global Register of Publishers in compliance with its role in coordinating the ISBN system worldwide. Our site consists of descriptive pages about the ISBN system and how it works. In addition, and depending on your user category, you may be able to access certain other parts of our site that are reserved for registered users and which may allow you to carry out certain operations and/or searches. Limited information is available to unregistered users of the site, but more extensive information is available to registered users. Users of our site may contact publishers direct to find out more about their books, and possibly to order or buy them. Having an entry in the Global Register of Publishers may also help publishers to sell more books.
